Launch Tracker — live orbital launch dashboard
Launch Tracker is a free dashboard for orbital spaceflight. It lists upcoming
and past orbital launches from every provider, together with the rockets, crews,
spacecraft, launch pads, and agencies behind them.
The interactive dashboard needs JavaScript. This summary describes what each
section covers.
What is Launch Tracker?
Launch Tracker is a web dashboard that presents orbital launch data in one
place. It is built on The Space Devs Launch Library 2, a community-maintained
database of launches, vehicles, and space agencies.
What data does Launch Tracker show?
Each section maps to one Launch Library 2 resource.
Launch Tracker sections and their data
| Section |
Shows |
Refresh |
| Upcoming launches | Scheduled orbital missions ordered by launch time | Hourly |
| All launches | Flown missions with success or failure status | Hourly |
| Rockets | Launch vehicle families and their operators | Weekly |
| Crew | Astronauts, their agencies, and flight status | Weekly |
| Spacecraft | Crew and cargo vehicles and their capacity | Weekly |
| Launch pads | Orbital launch complexes and their locations | Weekly |
| Agencies | Space agencies and commercial launch providers | Weekly |
How fresh is the launch data?
The app caches responses in the browser for 30 minutes, because the public
Launch Library 2 endpoint allows roughly 15 requests per hour from one address.
A refresh control clears that cache on demand.
Why are some launches marked To Be Determined?
Launch Library 2 parks unconfirmed missions on placeholder dates, such as
2039-12-31. Launch Tracker labels those missions To Be Determined rather than
showing a date no provider has committed to.
Who maintains Launch Tracker?
krittin-58 maintains Launch Tracker as an open-source side project on GitHub.
The repository holds the source code, issue tracker, and deployment
configuration, and it accepts bug reports and pull requests.
Which sources does Launch Tracker rely on?
Three sources back the data and the wording used across the dashboard.
Launch Tracker has no affiliation with SpaceX, NASA, or any launch provider.
It reads public data and presents it.
